Hello everyone! I hope you're having an excellent 2009.

Last week, additional details of President Obama's Mortgage
Affordability program were released. There are still some
additional details coming from the administration.

I've posted the new details on my blog at
www.ChristineSpringerOnline.com. I'll post additional updates
when that information is available. I hope you'll check it out
and determine if you qualify for the program. If you have any
questions at all about the program or your loan, please don't
hesitate to call me.

In the future, Beth Findsen, the loan modification attorney I
work with, will be a guest blogger on my site. She will discuss
the legal issues we're seeing with our clients. If you think the
law and legal stuff is boring, wait until you hear about some of
the legal strategies Beth is pursuing for some of our clients.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, there are a lot of homeowners
who won't be helped by the president's program. Most of our
clients don't fall within the guidelines for the President's
program. We are able to assist them with a loan modification
based on our findings during an audit of their loan documents.

A loan audit is basically a thorough review of the documents
you received at closing of your home loan. We go through them to
look for violations of Truth in Lending and RESPA. If your
lender didn't follow the law when it disclosed finance charges,
those violations are still there regardless of whether you are
behind on your home loan or not. If you have any doubt about
your loan, I suggest you have a loan audit performed and we'll
tell you exactly what's wrong with it. We are performing loan
audits before clients hire us for the complete modification
just to put their minds at ease before they spend the money for
a modification.

We're not just pushing people through a loan modification system. There are many a myriad of other issues that should be considered when you negotiate a loan modification. Beth will talk about those in future blog posts and newsletters.

Please call me if you need help with loan issues, LLC's or any
other related issues.

Thanks,
Christine
